Super Bowl LX Spotlight: Can Kenneth Walker III Carry the Seahawks vs. Patriots?

In this story:
After a full year, the NFL season comes down to just one final game. All that's left to play is the Super Bowl between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. On Sunday, February 8, the No. 1 seed in the NFC, the Seahawks, will do battle against the No. 2 seed in the AFC, the Patriots. The game will be played the game at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Kenneth Walker III had an up-and-down season while splitting time in the Seahawks' backfield with Zach Charbonnet. However, in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs against the San Francisco 49ers, Charbonnet suffered a season-ending knee injury. That has opened up a huge opportunity for Walker in these playoffs. He has been handling a full workload during the Seahawks' playoff run, and we expect much of the same in the Super Bowl. Walker has massive upside heading into the biggest game of the year and even deserves consideration as a potential Super Bowl MVP.

Kenneth Walker III Super Bowl Outlook
Walker goes into the Super Bowl with massive upside. He undoubtedly has the most upside of any running back in this game now that Charbonnet is sidelined. The volume will be there, as is the potential for massive production. There will be another running back that gets some touches, but the vast majority will go to Walker. His big-play upside, combined with the volume, gives him a chance to have a huge Super Bowl before heading into free agency this offseason.
However, this is a tough matchup. The Pats are giving up the fifth-fewest fantasy points to running backs this season, compared to the Seahawks, who are allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to running backs. Despite those rankings, you can make a strong argument that the Pats have the better rush defense, but the numbers dipped due to injuries including a stint on the sidelines from their top run stopper Milton Williams. The matchup should be viewed as an essential toss-up.
