Sky Sports select another Sunderland game for live broadcast

Sunderland have had another game rescheduled due to Sky Sports wanting to screen it live.

The away trip to Coventry will now kick-off at 12.30pm on February 25 instead of the originally scheduled 3pm.

Sunderland are no strangers to the Sky Sports cameras this season, with the Black Cats one of the most televised clubs in the country during the 2022/23 campaign.

It is the 13th Championship game involving Sunderland to be moved for Sky TV, with the home clash with Middlesbrough on Sunday January 22 also scheduled for live broadcast.

Sunderland were also shown live for their one and only match in the Carabao Cup this season.

The reverse fixture against Coventry was also shown live on Sky, which was the Black Cats’ first game back in the Championship after the four-year exile in League One.

As noted by the Coventry official website: “The home fixture against Sunderland at the Coventry Building Society Arena on Saturday 25th February will now be at 12:30pm kick-off.

“This game will not be available on iFollow in the UK or overseas, due to the exclusive Sky Sports selection.”
