Sunderland boss calls for his side to be 'relentless' in play-offs pursuit

Michael Beale has called on Sunderland to be ‘relentless’ between now and the end of the season as they look to secure a spot in the Championship play-offs.
Sunderland made it seven points from nine as they beat Plymouth Argyle 3-1 at the Stadium of Light.
The win pushes the Black Cats back into the top six, but with games coming thick and fast the situation can rapidly change.

Sunderland play Huddersfield on Wednesday and Birmingham City on Saturday, both away from home.
Away form has certainly been a bit of a problem for the Wearsiders this season, and Beale knows his side can’t afford to take their foot off the accelerator now.
“We need to be relentless,” Beale told safc.com. “That's what the league is. So we need to match that, don't we?
“We need to recover now. We need to put in a huge performance on Wednesday away from home.
“We know the fans will travel and get behind us and we need to keep putting performances in and getting results that make them proud.
“It's going to be an exciting run to the end of the season, but we need to go on a consistent run of wins if we can, if we want to get where we want to get to at the end of the season.
“So that one's done. We now move on to Huddersfield on Wednesday.”
