Yann M'Vila reportedly set to sign for Sunderland play-off rivals

Former Sunderland midfielder Yann M’Vila is reportedly in ‘advanced talks’ to join the Black Cats’ Championship play-off rivals West Brom.
M’Vila has been without a club since leaving Olympiakos last summer, and he was heavily linked with a return to Wearside during the January transfer window.
Now, Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna claims the 33-year-old could be about to land in the Championship elsewhere.

“West Bromwich is in advanced negotiations with Yann M'Vila the French midfielder,” Aouna wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
“Agreement expected soon as four months deal is being discussed. M'Vila wants the move.”
It should be noted that Aouna was also the journalist heavily linking him with Sunderland in January, shortly before Michael Beale said the Frenchman was not a target.
“Yann M’Vila? It’s nothing that I’ve discussed in house," he said after the 1-0 defeat to Hull on January 20th.
