Magic: The Gathering's The Hobbit (HOB) was released widely on August 15, 2026. It follows the epic 2023 release of MTG's The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth set, which famously kicked off a wild Wonkaesque search for the golden ticket, or better yet, the golden ring. Then, The One Ring was famously purchased by Post Malone for $2M.

3) 2026 Magic: The Gathering The Hobbit Borderless Dwarvish Language Foil Mox Amber

This card is the only card from MTG: The Hobbit set to feature the Dwarvish language. It is borderless and comes in the traditional foil treatment. The Fox Amber amulet sits atop golden coins, jewels, and assorted treasure that glistens with the shimmering card treatment. 1) 2026 Magic: The Gathering The Hobbit Borderless Gleaming Gold BGS 10 Smaug The Magnificent

This is the Headliner card for The Hobbit set and it is a beauty. Featuring a golden banner stating, "Smaug the Magnificent." It has a rainbow of color while a blast of fire breath emanates from the dragon's sharp-toothed mouth. This card does its job and pays tribute to the legendary dragon with Ted Nasmith's artistry.
