Live Updates: No. 12 Alabama Softball vs. No. 7 Florida State

The Crimson Tide looks to snap a six-game losing streak to the Seminoles dating back to 2018 and finish the Clearwater Invitational on a high note.

After a jammed packed weekend of softball down in Florida at the TaxAct Clearwater Invitational, the eyes of college softball are on the final act between No. 12 Alabama and No. 7 Florida State. 

There have been some memorable matchups between the Crimson Tide and Seminoles the last few years with all going in the favor of Florida State, including last year's game in Tuscaloosa. Florida State has won six straight over Alabama dating back to 2018. 

Both teams have gone 3-1 in Clearwater so far with losses to UCLA. Alabama has beaten Duke, UCF and Indiana while the Seminoles have wins over Arizona, Arkansas and Louisiana. 

Montana Fouts gets the start in the circle for another shot at redemption against Florida State. Alabama is the designated home team, so Fouts and the defense will open the game in the field.

First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m. on ESPN.
