Former University of Alabama and Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts officially signed his rookie deal with the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday afternoon, the team announced.

Hurts was selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft and the deal is worth $6.02 million over four years per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. He will receive a $1.94 million signing bonus as well.

He joins former teammates, Tua Tagovailoa (Dolphins), Raekwon Davis (Dolphins), Anfernee Jennings (Patriots), and Jedrick Wills (Browns) as the only Crimson Tide players to officially sign yet. Henry Ruggs III (Raiders), Jerry Jeudy (Broncos), Xavier McKinney (Giants), and Terrell Lewis (Rams) have yet to sign on the dotted line.

Rookies across the NFL will report to their respective teams on July 21.

During his three years at Alabama, Hurts threw for 5,626 yards, completed 65 percent of his passes, 48 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. He was the starting quarterback for the entirety of the 2017 campaign that resulted in the program's 17th national championship.

After the 2018 season, he elected to transfer to Oklahoma, where he was the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy after throwing for 3,851 yards and 32 touchdowns, while running for 1,298 yards and 20 additional scores, leading the Sooners to a berth in the College Football Playoff in 2019.

Many Crimson Tide fans will remember his heroic performance in the 2018 SEC Championship Game against Georgia, where he came off the bench for an injured Tagovailoa, and helped lead Alabama to a come-from-behind victory over the Bulldogs, 35-28.
