It's a date.

Alabama basketball, like always, will have a tough nonconference schedule — not to mention the difficulty of the SEC schedule.

Initially reported in April and now confirmed, the Crimson Tide will play against the Creighton Blue Jays — in Omaha on Dec. 16.

The Bluejays famously defeated Alabama in the first round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament — and again in the first round of the 2016 NIT.

Creighton and Alabama had a chance to play this past season, both being featured in the South Region of the NCAA tournament and making it to the second weekend in Louisville, Ky.

The Bluejays defeated 15-seed Princeton in the Sweet 16, while Alabama fell at the hands of 5-seed San Diego State. The Aztecs went on to defeat Creighton by one point in the subsequent Elite Eight game, sending them to their first-ever Final Four.

The Crimson Tide already has plenty of competition on the schedule in 2023-24 — Clemson in the SEC-ACC Challenge, Purdue in Toronto as well as Arizona in Phoenix. Alabama also has a matchup against Ohio State in the Emerald Coast Classic — and will play either Oregon or Santa Clara subsequently in the invitational.

The Crimson Tide also has meetings with Mercer, Indiana State and South Alabama at Coleman Coliseum.
