Alabama basketball suffered possibly its worst loss of the season on Saturday afternoon, allowing 117 points and losing by 22 on the road against No. 17 Kentucky.

As it goes in the SEC, there's no let up in the schedule. Next, the Crimson Tide travels to Oxford to take on a tricky Ole Miss team that has been very solid at home all season.

The good news for Alabama is that it has responded very well to losses so far in SEC play this season. After losing to Tennessee in January, it proceeded to win four straight games by an average of 17 points. After its February loss to Auburn, it won three straight by an average of 16.

Ole Miss is one of the few teams in the SEC that do not have a win against Alabama under head coach Nate Oats. The Rebels are 0-4 against Alabama since the 2019-20 season, and have lost six straight in the series.

In its first year under head coach Chris Beard, a coach with a national championship game appearance under his belt, the Rebels have won a lot of games against lesser teams and struggled mightily against the top teams in the SEC. But playing on the road in this league is always extremely difficult.

Ole Miss has fallen onto the wrong side of the NCAA Tournament bubble as of late, so they'll be hungry for a win.
