Alabama Flips 2025 Defensive Lineman From Auburn

Alabama now has three commitments in the 2025 recruiting class.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama football picked up its third commitment in the 2025 recruiting class, flipping defensive lineman Antonio Coleman from Auburn.

Coleman is an in-state product, who attends Saraland High School. He ranks as a 4-star recruit according to the majority of recruiting services, and ranks as a top-15 defensive lineman in the 2025 class as well.

At Saraland, Coleman helped the Spartans make it to the 6A state title game in each of the past two seasons, winning the state championship in 2022. He was the teammate and classmate of 5-star wide receiver signee Ryan Williams, who reclassified to the 2024 class in December and signed with the Crimson Tide shortly after.

Coleman joins two other Crimson Tide commitments in the 2025 class, both of which are also in-state recruits: running back Anthony Rodgers from Montgomery and athlete Myles Johnson from Brewton, Ala.

Every commit in the 2025 Alabama recruiting class is at least a 4-star recruit.

Coleman is the first commit in the 2025 class for head coach Kalen DeBoer, who was hired as the Alabama head coach back in January. A number of 2025 commitments to Alabama decommitted after legendary head coach Nick Saban's retirement, but with his full staff being finalized this week, DeBoer has finally made a splash in the class.

“I feel like [defensive line coach Freddie] Roach is solid and like their program can develop me more," Coleman told On3 Sports after his commitment.

Roach, Coleman's future position coach, was recently given a promotion to also hold the title of assistant head coach.
