Alabama Football Commit Cayden Jones on The Joe Gaither Show: Episode 32, July 4, 2023

In this story:
Happy Fourth of July BamaCentral readers! It was a fun Tuesday edition of "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" as we continued getting to know the incoming 2024 Alabama recruiting class.
Cayden Jones out of Arden, N.C., was kind enough to join us to talk about his recruitment and his athletic journey to this point.
The pair got rolling discussing Jones's recruitment and how he decided that he would roll with the Tide.
Jones revealed that he's grown up admiring the Crimson Tide while watching football with his father. Therefore once the scholarship offer was extended to him, Jones was in.
"I kind of had an idea that I wanted to reach for Alabama, reach for the best and that's what my idea was," said Jones.
"Once I got Alabama ('s offer) it was like, this is pretty easy. My choice was made, basically when they offered me but I waited a little bit to commit just to be smart."
The 6-foot-4, 218 pound athlete out of Christ School has played defensive back, quarterback, inside and outside linebacker and more for the Greenies giving him a variety of perspectives on the football field.
Jones will likely be asked to play inside linebacker for the Crimson Tide and talked about his transition into the position as his body has matured.
Check out the episode for his comments on Alabama coaches Robert Bala, Joe Cox, Kevin Steele and of course Nick Saban.
