You can add another distinction to the legendary career of Alabama softball pitcher Montana Fouts.

The fifth-year ace was named a 2023 NFCA Division I First Team All-American Wednesday afternoon.

It is the second time in her career she has been named a first team All-American  and fourth time overall (Second Team in 2019 and 2022), making her the seventh player in program history to earn NFCA All-American four times. She is the 41st player in college softball history to be a four-time NFCA All-American.

Fouts joins the likes of Haylie McCleney, Brittany Rogers, Jackie Traina, Kelsie Dunne and Kelly Kretschman as Crimson Tide legends who earned All-American status four times.

This season, Fouts has a 25-10 record with a 1.48 ERA and 319 strikeouts, which leads the country. With her win in the Super Regional final against Northwestern, Fouts picked up the 100th victory of her career.

In her final season with the Crimson Tide, she has led Alabama back to the Women's College World Series for the third time in her career. The fifth-ranked Crimson Tide opens play Friday at 11 a.m. against No. 4 Tennessee.

Fouts was the only Alabama player listed to any of the 2023 NFCA All-American teams. Former Alabama pitcher Lexi Kilfoyl, now with Oklahoma State, was named to the Third Team. The full list is below:
