Musselman Lands Another Elite Recruit for Razorbacks

Combo guard out of California calls Hogs.

LOS ANGELES — Arkansas coach Eric Musselman has landed Top 50 recruit Isaiah Elohim of Sierra Canyon in California. After releasing a trio of finalists last Monday, Elohim committed Thursday morning with a video release on social media which showed him on a couch with his family.

“I will be playing my college ball at the University of Arkansas,” Elohim said. He chose the Razorbacks over Kansas and Villanova.

The 4-star combo guard can play a variety of positions and score at all three levels of the court. Similar to a Mason Jones, Elohim is a tough finisher at the rim who invites contact from defenders in the post. He has a very good midrange jumper that he can consistently bank on.

He is the second commitment of the Razorbacks’ class, joining Jalen Shelley, which raises their recruiting cycle ranking into the top 25, according to 247Sports composite rankings. The Kings, (N.Y) native ranks No. 42 nationally by 247Sports while coming in as the no. 11 small forward and no. 5 prospect in the state of California at the time of his commitment.

During his junior season in 2022-23, the 6-5, 195 guard averaged 16 points, 5 rebounds and three assists per game for the Trailblazers. Elohim visited Fayetteville the weekend of Sept. 16. Regarding his decision to play for the Razorbacks it was obvious Musselman’s connections to the NBA stood out among the rest.

"Ultimately, Coach Muss' vision for my career on the court was very aligned with what I see for myself, long term. Arkansas has produced some incredible players that play my same position in recent years, so I feel confident that I can continue developing as a player in their system.” Elohim told Paul Biancardi and Jeff Borzello in a story at ESPN.com
