FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Fresh off its road win against Florida State, Arkansas returned home to take on the No. 2 UCLA Bruins, but the additional step up in competition as UCLA dominated after a relatively even 1st quarter. The Bruins dominated on the offensive glass and the Razorbacks offense came to a grinding halt in the second half leading to an 81-66 Bruins win.

After taking 41 threes against Florida State, the Razorbacks relied on two early triples to take an early 8-2 lead. After the slow start, the Bruins would flex their muscle, and never look back. The Bruins used 6-foot-7 center Lauren Betts to take over inside. She finished the game a perfect 9-for-9 from the field with 20 points. The height was too much to handle, as the Razorbacks struggled both in the post and on the offensive glass to handle the sheer size of both Betts and the UCLA guards, getting outrebounded 56-26. After a school-record 23 rebounds from Saylor Poffenbarger, she was held to a team-leading seven rebounds. The Bruins went on a 13-0 run to close out the quarter up 20-14.

Betts continued to dominate, finishing out the half a perfect 6-for-6 from the field and led all scorers with 13 points at the break. The Bruins combined with three-point shooting of their own, consistently finding open looks in both corners thanks to superior ball movement. A three at the end of the half from Poffenbarger cut the Bruins's lead to 17.

The intermission did nothing to shift the momentum, the Bruins outscored the Hogs 22-11 in the third quarter. As the gap continued to widen, the efficiency of the Arkansas offense also disappeared. , The Razorbacks were held to just 3-15 from the floor in the quarter.

The Bruins kept the Razorbacks at arm's length the rest of the way, the Hogs did show fight in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Bruins 22-9 after the game was already out of hand. Freshman guard Taliah Scott scored 12 points in the final quarter with three triples to make the score more respectable, including a four-point play with 5:58 left in the game

The Razorbacks will continue its homestand against Lousiana Tech 7 p.m. Dec. 7. The game will be streamed on SEC Network+.
