Texas A&M Wins Big Quarterback Recruiting Battle Over Auburn

Auburn is still looking for its 2025 quarterback recruit

The Auburn Tigers came up just short with top a top quarterback recruit today.

According to his X account and On3's Hayes Fawcett, Corona (Calif.) Centennial signal-caller Husan Longstreet went with Texas A&M over the Tigers. Longstreet last visited Auburn for A-Day. He is Rivals' #79 prospect nationally.

A true dual-threat quarterback, Longstreet's ability to create plays in just about any situation makes him a high-upside recruit. He's also from one of the nation's best prep programs so he is prepared for the transition to the SEC. The Aggies are scoring a top talent.

Auburn has 10 verbal commitments for the class of 2025 and there's still plenty of time to add a talented quarterback. Let's see how the rest of the summer plays out. Lots of time to recruit the likes of Julian "Ju Ju" Lewis and KJ Lacey, among others.

As an additional note, the Transfer Portal opens on Tuesday, April 16. It's going to be a big opportunity for the Tigers to land much-needed defensive line and wide receiver help.
