Auburn football is predicted to flip yet another high-profile recruit away from an SEC school.

Amaris Williams, a four-star defensive lineman currently committed to Florida, is currently predicted to flip away from the Gators and commit to the Tigers, per Jeffrey Lee of On3.

According to Lee, Williams "had been in communication with Auburn defensive line coach Jeremy Garrett" and had "interest" with the Tigers behind the scenes. "He said in November that there was a “mystery team” emerging in his recruitment" Lee wrote. "It was later learned that the mystery team was Auburn."

Williams is the No. 12 defensive lineman in the 2024 class, the No. 84 prospect nationally and the No. 1 player in North Carolina. 247Sports' director of scouting Andrew Ivins describes Williams as "a twitched-up defensive lineman" who has "NFL upside with his explosive lower half, but must keep evolving as a defender."

Williams would be the third defensive line commitment for Hugh Freeze and Auburn in the 2024 class, joining three-stars Dimitry Nicholas and Malik Blocton.

If he were to flip, Williams would be the fifth player in Auburn's class to have flipped from another school and the second to flip away from the Florida Gators.
