Kamarion Franklin sets official visit date with Auburn football
Kamarion Franklin, a five-star defensive lineman out of Lake Cormorant, Mississippi has set an official visit date according to 247 Sports Christian Clemente. Franklin is the second-best player in Mississippi behind another Auburn target on the defensive line Jamonta Waller.
The news of an official visit being set follows a visit to the plains that occurred on June 9th. Franklin went on an unofficial visit and came out of it with his fourth official visit being set. Kamarion has already been to Miami and is locked into officials with LSU and Tennessee in the month of June.
Franklin plays primarily a defensive end role in high school and has shown his skills at not only getting to the passer but plugging up holes and stopping the run game. He has totaled an impressive 150 tackles, 29 sacks, 35.5 tackles for loss, 1 forced fumble, and 4 interceptions over his career and still has a senior season to play. He broke a school record for sacks in a season last year with 17 in one season.
Franklin joins fellow five-star KJ Bolden as the only Auburn target to set official visits for a game week. The Georgia game will take place on September 29th and will be a home game for the Tigers. As mentioned earlier Franklin will visit Tennessee and LSU in between these two Auburn visits.
The Volunteers seem to be the leaders in this recruitment, former Auburn assistant Rodney Garner has a great relationship with Franklin. Auburn DL Coach Jeremy Garrett looks to continue to build a relationship with the Mississippian.
