Three Recruits to Watch as Auburn Nears Early Signing Day

Auburn is looking to land three more elite recruits in KJ Bolden, Ryan Williams, and Amaris Williams.

National Signing Day begins in just 14 days. This means that the Auburn Tigers have a lot of work to do to lock up the final few pieces of what looks to be the best recruiting class from the past five years and could potentially be the first top 10 class since 2020.

With multiple five-stars already on board, Auburn is still in pursuit of a few more, and they are in the thick of it for some top four-star players as well.

Florida State commitment K.J. Bolden has recently seen Auburn turn up the heat, visiting Auburn alongside his father and getting some quality time with head coach Hugh Freeze. Despite the Noles' undefeated season and narrowly missing the College Football Playoff, a 6-6 Auburn team is looking to swoop in and take him before the clock strikes midnight.

Bolden, a five-star across the major recruiting sites, saw time on offense and defense, racking up nearly 700 yards of offense along with 33 tackles and four interceptions for famed Buford (Ga.) High School.

If Auburn is going to land Bolden, at least one more meeting between the two sides is likely. Perhaps that's an in-home visit. Look for FSU to go all-out to keep Bolden, though. This is a tight race. There's also an in-state battle to discuss.

Alabama has been dominant at recruiting the Mobile area for the majority of the time Nick Saban has coached for Alabama, and his sustained success has done nothing but solidify his hold over the area. That trend may be shifting, as Auburn has managed to snag Perry Thompson from Foley, Bryce Cain from Baker, and the Tigers' continued persistence of 2025 5-star wide receiver Ryan Williams.

Rumors of reclassification make Williams perfect for this list, as a reclassification would put Auburn squarely in the mix for the 5-star's final decision. Despite a two-year-long commitment to the Crimson Tide, the Saraland (Ala.) High School speedster is not just hearing Auburn out but is seeing why his father committed to the Tigers back in 2007.

Following a potential reclassification, Williams would have until February to make his final decision. Expect unofficial visits to both schools and in-home visits from both Saban and Freeze if he does reclassify. You can read more about Williams and what he recently said about reclassifying here:

Amaris Williams, probably unheard of for most Auburn fans, could be a flip candidate following the staff departures at Florida. Williams committed in June to the Napier staff. He's from Clinton (N.C.) High School and a very unique defensive tackle because he can rush the passer. That also explains why so many schools like Williams.

With the Gators moving on from defensive line coach Sean Spencer, Florida will be battling hard to keep the five-star defensive tackle. Auburn and Georgia seem to be the front runners if Williams were to stray from his commitment. A visit to both schools is expected. Texas A&M, the landing spot for Spencer, and Ohio State, a program Williams visited already, will also be schools to watch.

If Auburn could gain Bolden, Ryan Williams, and Amaris Williams, those additions would likely vault the Tigers into the top 10 of the recruiting class rankings. That would also be the first top-10 class under Freeze and the first since Gus Malzahn's last full recruiting cycle.
