Auburn is leading for the top recruit in the 2025 class according to On3

Auburn has a good chance to land a top 2025 recruit.

Auburn's recent success on the hardwood over the last handful of years has helped Coach Pearl and his coaching staff bring in some five and four-star talent.

That is no different in the 2024 class, as Auburn is bringing in five-star point guard Tahaad Pettiford and four-star shooting guard Jahki Howard. Coach Pearl is now looking at the 2025 class, and the Tigers are in the hunt for some of the top players in the recruiting class.

AJ Dybantsa is the consensus number-one overall player in the 2025 class. The 6'9, 185-pound guard/forward hybrid would be the highest-ranked recruit in Auburn basketball history if he chose to play his college hoops on the Plains. Dybantsa has a visit coming up in the beginning of March that will give Coach Pearl an opportunity to sell his vision for Dybantsa and his role for the Auburn Tigers. On3's recruiting prediction tool gives Auburn a 46.7% chance to land the number one player in the 2025 class. The next closest school is USC, with a 40.9% chance.

Dybantsa had this to say about Coach Pearl, "I am trying to be a guard, and Bruce Pearl produces a lot of guards for the NBA, so I am going to take a visit there and see how it goes," Dybantsa said. "He's a hard coach, and I can take hard coaching. I know a couple of people committed there, and that is going there right now."

Watching the tape on Dybantsa, he is a surefire one and done who will likely be a top-five pick in the NBA Draft.
