Takeaways: Auburn Basketball Routs Alabama A&M, 84-54

In this story:
Auburn basketball ran away with one on Tuesday night.
The Tigers demolished the Alabama A&M Aggies 84-54, improving to 4-1 on the young season.
Here are five takeaways from the game.
Domination on the glass
Seven Tigers had three or more rebounds, with Dylan Cardwell's nine leading the way.
A&M doesn't lack a ton of size, but the Tigers out-hustled and out-manned the Aggies all night long. Rebounding had been a slight concern through the first four games of the season, but tonight it was no concern.
Different starting lineup, same results
Auburn decided to switch things up with their starting lineup a bit.
Instead of going with Johni Broome at center and Denver Jones at shooting guard, the Tigers elected to start backup point guard Tre Donaldson at the two and backup Dylan Cardwell at the five.
Cardwell finished the game with six points, nine rebounds and a plus-minus of +26. Donaldson had six points, three rebounds and three assists.
Pearl continues to flex the team's depth early in the season, and there seems to be little to no drop-off between the bench and the starters.
It will prove to be valuable in SEC play.
Three-point defense continues to be strong
Although not know for their three-point shooting, Alabama A&M went just 2-of-14 from beyond the arc.
Auburn currently boasts the No. 12 three-point defense in the nation according to KenPom. It may be due to the Tigers' opponents already being sub-par at outside shooting... or Auburn could just legitimately have good defense.
We will see in the coming weeks.
Chaney Johnson flex game
Johnson finished with 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting to go along with four rebounds.
The former Division II player showed out against the Aggies.
Tigers' tempo proves lethal
Auburn's offensive pace has dramatically improved compared to last season's squad. 20 fast break points and an aggressive offensive gameplay were refreshing to watch.
Bruce Pearl said it following the Legends Classic, and he's right; the Tigers have an identity on offense in November, and that's exciting.
