Charles Barkley criticizes Ja Morant, says 'all you have to do is dribble a stupid basketball'

Ja Morant's decision making over the past year has been called into question.
The Memphis Grizzlies' superstar guard was suspended 25 games without pay for "conduct detrimental to the league," or better known to the NBA crowd as flashing a gun twice while being filmed in a two-month span in 2022.
Morant was suspended after the first incident online with a firearm, but did it again on Instagram live just weeks later.
Auburn and NBA legend Charles Barkley has strong opinions on Morant's decisions.
Barkley was recently interviewed by ‘Who’s Talking To Chris Wallace’ and shared his thoughts on Morant's suspension.
“He’s caught with a gun, he gets suspended and then, less than two months later, he gets filmed again on Instagram with a gun and you’re like, ‘Kid can’t be that stupid,’” Barkley said.
Barkley went on to criticize Morant further, stating that there are people across the world who act professionally with jobs that will never make money like an NBA player. Morant seems to have it easy. And yet, he kept shooting himself in the foot.
“Real jobs [with] people who will never make a lot of money and all you have to do is dribble a stupid basketball and stay out of trouble,” Barkley said.
This could be a great lesson to current and future players of Auburn basketball, Barkley's college team. Character and decision making starts when you're young.
Bruce Pearl and the Tigers put an emphasis on molding and developing not just basketball players, but men. This is yet another strong word of advice from a former member of the program.
