What did the Auburn forward have to say before the Georgia game?

The No. 14 Auburn Tigers take on the Georgia Bulldogs on the road tomorrow.

What did Auburn forward Dylan Cardwell have to say before the game?

Cardwell talked about how thankful he was that Jaylin Williams' injury was not more serious.

"I was extremely happy and extremely joyful," Cardwell said. "At the end of the day, it was his fifth year; he doesn't get to come back. He has a professional career after this. I'm more worried about his future more than him coming back and playing for us. I'm grateful it wasn't a tear. That would have been awful that he came back for his fifth year, gave his all to this program only for it to be over like that. I was just really relieved."

Cardwell talked about what he sees in Georgia.

"They're insane at home," Cardwell said. "I think all their home games have been an 8- or 10-point margin. They've been up against Florida, they've been up against Alabama. They've been up against good teams. They have a really good homecourt advantage. Even though they're (5-8) in the SEC, they haven't given up. They're still a hungry team. It'll be interesting to see how they come out against us. Obviously, this Auburn-Georgia rivalry just adds more to it. It's going to be an exciting game."

Cardwell talked about Auburn's shooting woes against Kentucky.

"It was awful," Cardwell said. "It was awful to be a part of and watch that stuff. It just felt weird. It didn't make sense to me. It didn't make sense at all. Usually we're on fire in here. It was just open shots, you know? It was just open shots. So, I didn't know what it was. I felt like we were really prepared offensively. I feel like we had a good week of shooting offensively. The ball just didn't go in. We really can't control that at the end of the day. It was weird. Just disappointing that we didn't get that win. But at the end of the day, next game, move forward."

Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. CT. The television broadcast can be found on SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network broadcast can be streamed anywhere on the Auburn Athletics app.
