Auburn holding 'open competition' at right tackle for Izavion Miller, Jaden Muskrat

Auburn may be making a change at right tackle.

Tigers' head coach Hugh Freeze said that Auburn is holding an "open competition" at right tackle between Izavion Miller and Jaden Muskrat during the weekly SEC coaches teleconference on Wednesday afternoon.

Both players will see time vs Ole Miss this weekend according to Freeze.

Auburn has been playing Miller, a JUCO transfer this past cycle, at right tackle. Tulsa transfer Jaden Muskrat was listed as the backup left tackle in this week's depth chart provided to media by the university.

"Yeah, I think (Muskrat) a guy that's played a lot of snaps that can swing from both inside to outside if we need him in a pinch outside," Freeze said about Muskrat back in July. "Obviously that room we had to get, you know, you're trying to get nine to ten deep in there that can play and felt like he improved us there and adds great depth to us."

Miller impressed during fall camp. After WKU transfer Gunner Britton was projected to start at right tackle Miller slid in at starter and Britton moved to left guard. Jeremiah Wright was listed as the backup right tackle in this week's depth chart.

Auburn plays host to No. 13 Ole Miss this Saturday. Kickoff is at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN.
