Injury update: Which Auburn players are out/questionable for the Mississippi State game?
Auburn has finally started to heal as the toughest portion of the schedule has been completed.
The Tigers are still searching for their first win of conference play against the Mississippi State Bulldogs this week.
Who is questionable for Auburn this week?
Damari Alston
Alston, a sophomore running back, has been missing time since suffering a shoulder injury in Auburn's loss to Texas A&M.
So far this season he has rushed for 131 yards and one touchdown off of 26 carries.
“It does not look good for Damari (Alston)," head coach Hugh Freeze said about the running back returning last week.
Freeze did not make a further comment on Alston this week but it is not probable that he will take the field this week.
Avery Jones
Jones, a center who transferred to Auburn from East Carolina this offseason, suffered an injury against Ole Miss.
Freeze said that Jones is doubtful for the Mississippi State game.
Austin Keys
Keys, a junior linebacker who transferred to Auburn from Ole Miss this offseason, has only played in the UMass game so far this season. He suffered a hand injury during practice ahead of the Cal game.
"Austin Keys, I know he got out of his cast," Freeze said last week. "I do not think he will be back this week but is getting closer.”
He logged two tackles in that game and was a difference-maker in the pass rush.
