Former Tulsa OL Jaden Muskrat commits to Auburn

Jaden Muskrat looks to reunite with friend Dillon Wade and former coach Philip Montgomery.

Hugh Freeze and staff are continuing to use prior connections to get help along the offensive line.

Former Tulsa starting OL Jaden Muskrat has committed to Auburn, per his social media.

The connection is obvious for Muskrat as his former teammate on the offensive line and friend, Dillon Wade, transferred to the Tigers during the winter portal window. Philip Montgomery, one of the main reasons Wade hopped on down to the Plains, was Tulsa's Head Coach from 2015-2022 and had a hand in both Wade and Muskrat's original recruitments.

Jaden, who is originally from Centerton, Arkansas just a 45-minute drive down I-49 to Fayetteville, which he visited in early May, was recruited by Tulsa as an offensive lineman but also played defensive lineman at points in his high school career. Muskrat was a low two-star recruit who held only one D1 offer which came from the Golden Hurricanes.

Upon his arrival in Tulsa Muskrat redshirted his freshman year and only saw action in four games at right tackle, earning his first start against an SEC team in Mississippi State during the 2020 Armed Forces Bowl. In his redshirt freshman season, he appeared in only four games yet again due to an injury. The redshirt sophomore season was more favorable for Muskrat as he played in all 12 games at right tackle.

Muskrat becomes the ninth offensive lineman to be signed since the Hugh Freeze era began.
