Four-star defensive back Jalyn Crawford took an official visit over the weekend

Auburn football is making Jalyn Crawford a high priority.

Jalyn Crawford, one of the highest priorities on Auburn's defensive back recruiting board, came to the plains over the weekend for his official visit.

The Atlanta native has visited Auburn three times since being offered by the staff on December 20th of last year. The Parkview High School star has built a healthy relationship with DB coaches Wesley McGriff and Zac Etheridge. The reason for being in contact with both is that Auburn sees him as a player that could play both cornerback and safety.

Crawford played well during his Junior season, finishing with 25 tackles, a sack, and two interceptions along with six pass deflections. His production paired with a good camp season has made Crawford a popular prospect and went from a borderline four-star to a more established one.

Crawford has two official visits left this month as he plans to go to North Carolina and LSU before wrapping up June. LSU is seen as the team to beat for the 6-foot, 180-pounder. His first official visit was Florida and the second was this weekend to the Plains. Crawford came into town on Friday according to his Instagram, where he posted a photo of the swag that Auburn left for him in his hotel room.

The visit has been viewed as a positive one and this has been affirmed by Auburn Live's Jeffrey Lee of On3. Lee put in a prediction that Crawford would end up in the 2023 class.
