Auburn football recruiting is off to a solid start when looking at the 2024 class. Martavious Collins is an Auburn target and he recently de-committed from the Alabama Crimson Tide after visiting Auburn.

Hugh Freeze and the Auburn football staff will aim to land the talented tight end and h-back in this class. The Rome, Georgia standout is listed as an athlete on 247.

Auburn recruiting expert John Garcia spoke on Collins and his recruitment on the Locked On Auburn Podcast.

"You'll hear me say it all the time," Garcia said. "You have to track what they do. If you make a visit from one school and de-commit from another a week later, there's usually some cause and effect there. It's usually as simple as it seems."

The Tigers appear to be in a great spot to land Collins and add more firepower to the 2024 class.

Hugh Freeze currently has three players committed to Auburn in 2024 so far. 4-star cornerback Amon Lane, 4-star quarterback Walker White, and 4-star cornerback Jayden Lewis are the current members of Auburn's 2024 class.
