Auburn vs Georgia Tech listed as one of several non-conference matchups that need to happen soon

In this story:
Auburn football has it fair share of rivals.
The Tigers, who hold massive rivalries with Georgia (The Deep South's Oldest Rivalry) and Alabama (The Iron Bowl), also have a handful of other big rivalries.
According to Wikipedia, Auburn has rivalries with Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, Florida, Georgia Tech, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Tulane.
Two of those schools - Georgia Tech and Tulane - have long been out of the SEC and haven't played Auburn much since.
The Green Wave, who hold a 17-15-6 lead in the series, have played the Tigers twice since 1955. The Yellow Jackets have faced of against Auburn two times since 1987.
Before the two essentially stopped playing all together, Georgia Tech/Auburn was noted as one of college football's better rivalries, with the Tigers holding a 47-41 lead in the all-time series.
247Sports writer Will Backus listed Auburn vs Georgia Tech as one of the eight non-conference matchups he and 247 want to see in future seasons.
Here's what Backus had to say about it:
"These two used to be fierce rivals — first when they both occupied the SEC, and then for another 20 years annually when Georgia Tech left. The rivalry became defunct in 1987, with a brief revival in 2003 and 2005, but the two teams have not played since. That is a shame for a game that has featured such prominent names as John Heisman — of Heisman Trophy fame — who coached on both sides of the aisle in this series. Georgia Tech still plays one SEC team annually in Georgia, so this may be a hard sell for the Yellow Jackets. But it would be nice to see it come back for at least a couple years."
The Tigers currently have three non-conference games scheduled for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, two for 2026, and one for 2027-2030.
