Everything five-star WR Cam Coleman said before the Under Armour All-American game

Five-star wide receiver and Auburn football commit Cam Coleman will be participating in the Under Armour All-American game.

Auburn Daily's Brian Smith got a chance to speak with Coleman alongside reporters, discussing his recruitment, commitment, the Tigers' staff, and more.

Here's everything Coleman had to say:

On whether or not he was dreading having to tell Texas A&M he was going to Auburn...

"I didn't want to leave any bad bridges. I didn't want to just stop communicating with them, I had to let them know what I was doing. I didn't wanna do it, but I had to... in the end, there's only going to be one school."

Biggest factor with Hugh Freeze getting him to commit...

"It was him, but it was everybody else too. My relationship was with everybody, I was comfortable there. Everyone there felt like home, right down the street. Really, I was comfortable."

On whether he will miss playing at Central...

"Oh, I'll miss it. So much. Coming in as a freshman, I didn't know what to expect at the high school level, but really my relationships with all of my boys - I grew up with all them boys from like sixth, seventh grade. We all went to different schools but we all grew up together, and we were going to be closer. Like Central is just a great, program, man. I think they really prepared me for the next level because see Jason - strength and conditioned guys at the next level - he strength and conditioned at Troy, Georgia Southern, and Washington State. He's been everywhere. He knows what it's like at the next level and I think he's prepared us good."

Coleman's film review on Daylyn Upshaw...

"His work ethic is out the window, I mean it's off the charts. He's always working. Me, him, and (Dylan) Gentry, it's always just us working and trying to be better. Watching extra film, trying to see if we can talk to each other on what we need to do. But Daylyn, he's going to be good. We really both need to work on how the DB is playing, like working on leverage, like getting inside and outside leverage depending on the route. Just the little things, for real."

On talking with Payton Thorne...

"We chopped it up a few times. We were talking about how we gotta start building chemistry ASAP, like early. So he can learn like where I want the ball, where he wants the ball, we can learn the timing and get the chemistry down pat. I'm really just looking forward to catching the ball from him, and just really build a relationship with him."

On where Coleman will play on the field...

"He (Freeze) was like, no matter where you are on the field, you've got to know concepts and know what you're doing. He said we were all going to be playing everywhere, so it's not just going to be like everyone in one spot. We'll be moving around. We just gotta learn concepts and study. Put in extra work in the film room and take extra time learning the playbook."

One thing people might not know about Coleman outside of football...

"I turn 18 in August. I like to bowl. I like to fish. Me and Dylan Gentry, actually we - our bowling score is so high when people play us... he (Gentry) scored a 233 the other day, and I had a 196, 197. We both have good bowling scores."

A message to Auburn fans now that Coleman is enrolling...

"We coming. I'm on the way."
