Georgia commit Demarcus Riddick is looking at the Auburn Tigers

Demarcus Riddick is another player that Hugh Freeze wants to flip to the Auburn Tigers.

DeMarcus Riddick is a four-star linebacker from Clanton, Alabama, who is currently committed to the Georgia Bulldogs. Despite his commitment, Riddick has been showing interest in Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers.

According to the On3 Prediction Machine, Riddick is currently projected to be 27.2% to go to Georgia despite being committed, 39.2% to Alabama, and 31.7% to Auburn.

One factor that may be driving Riddick's interest in Auburn is its proximity to his hometown. While Athens, Georgia is more than twice as far away from Clanton as Auburn is, the Tigers are still within a 90-minute radius of his hometown. This makes Auburn a prime target area for the Tigers, who are looking to win in their backyard.

While Clanton may not be a hotbed of football prospects, Riddick is one player who has caught the attention of recruiters. Last year, Riddick committed to Georgia, which was seen as a quick rise for the linebacker. However, since then, there has been a lot of buzz from multiple programs outside of Georgia, including Auburn. Riddick has continued to take visits to Auburn, which is a clear indication that he is considering the Tigers as a potential destination.

One factor that may be playing a role in Riddick's interest in Auburn is the personal touch that the Tigers' coaching staff has been providing him. Auburn has been doing research and following up on some of Riddick's specific skills and abilities, which has allowed them to change their recruiting pitch to be more in line with his strengths.

This Auburn staff has expressed interest in having Riddick specifically be a backside player, which is more in line with his skill set. This kind of attention to detail is likely resonating with Riddick and making him feel more valued and appreciated as a potential recruit.

Overall, Riddick's interest in Auburn is something that Tigers fans are keeping a close eye on. While he is currently committed to Georgia, the fact that he continues to visit Auburn and show interest in the program is a good sign for the Tigers. With the Tigers' coaching staff providing a personalized and strategic recruiting pitch, there is a real chance that Riddick could switch sides and become a key player for Auburn in the future.
