Is Auburn's offense suffering from dropped passes?

In this story:
Auburn had some pass plays get away from them against the Georgia Bulldogs two weeks ago.
There was a big argument online about whether or not six of Auburn quarterback Payton Thorne's incompletions were dropped passes.
Even head coach Hugh Freeze believed there were six passes that the Tigers should have had a chance at.
"I thought we had six drops, truthfully, after watching the film, that could've easily been caught," Freeze said the Monday following the game "Give their defensive backs some credit sometimes for good punch outs, but our guys have to finish those plays to help our quarterback."
He walked this quote back a press conference later and claimed that there were six passes that "hit (the receivers) in the hands."
Regardless, opportunities were left on the table - not just in the Georgia game - and there are stats that reflect it.
According to SEC Stat Cat's passer stats, Payton Thorne is currently fourth in the SEC in drop percentage. 12.77% of his throws have been dropped this season.
Robby Ashford leads the SEC in drop percentage at 16.67%
That's resulted in 191 combined drop yards that were lost for Thorne and Ashford.
With how sparingly passing yardage has come for Hugh Freeze and the Tigers' offense this season, having at least half of those yards back for completions may have made a big difference. At the very least, it could have made a difference against the Bulldogs.
