Recruiting expert chimes in on Auburn RB target J'Marion Burnette
J'Marion Burnette has been hinting at an Auburn decision for some time and it could be coming sooner rather than later.
The 4-star running back from Andalusia, Alabama has an offer list filled with SEC programs but Auburn has emerged as a favorite for his services and eventual commitment to the 2024 class. He was one of many future college standouts on Auburn's campus during the weekend of January 28th for Auburn's junior day.
Auburn recruiting expert John Garcia discussed Burnette being close to committing to the Tigers on Locked On Auburn.
"It's felt like that for a while, right?" Garcia said. "Another one where it's a Carnell Williams recruit at running back. These are the ones that you feel especially good about and he's been hinting at a decision basically every single time he speaks to the media."
Burnette is listed at 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds. His physical build should help him find playing time early at whatever school he ends up choosing.
"The sooner the better," Garcia said. "That's exactly what you want from the Auburn perspective. Big, physical, downhill back ready-made for the SEC."
