Auburn Football Spring Practice Observations-4/2

Here are some observations from Auburn football's Tuesday afternoon practice.

The Auburn football team is back on the field for another day of spring practice as we inch closer to A-Day.

Payton Thorne has been playing better at practice over the last few days and he will look to keep that going at today's practice.

Here are our thoughts from what we saw at the practice window.

Spring Practice Thoughts:

-Auburn running back target Alvin Henderson is in attendance at spring practice

-Holden Geriner made a great throw to Bryce Cain

-After the great play from Bryce Cain wide receiver coach Marcus Davis said, "That's big time baby"

-The order of the running backs was Jarquez Hunter, Damari Alston, Brian Battie, Jeremiah Cobb

-Cam Brown and Caleb Burton are out at practice

-Cal transfer Sam Jackson dropped a pass right in his hands

-After the drop Sam Jackson made a great catch to make up for it

-Thorne's arm looks the best of all of the quarterbacks

-Auburn's wide receivers dropped a lot of passes on air

-Eugene Asante and Austin Keys are taking reps together and so are DJ Barber and Robert Woodyard Jr.

-Jalen McLeod is proving to be unblockable

-Brandon Frazier and Eugene Asante just had a great 50/50 battle. Thorne made a great throw to Frazier but Asante was able to knock it away

-Cam'Ron King made a great catch on a pass from Holden Geriner

-Laquan Robinson had a great pass breakup on a pass intended for Rivaldo Fairweather

-Payton Thorne made a great pass to Cam'Ron King in the back of the endzone rolling to his left but King dropped it

-Hank Brown made a great pass to Brandon Frazier on the sideline

-Starting DB's: Jerrin Thompson, Kayin Lee, Sylvester Smith, Caleb Wooden, and Colton Hood

-Terrance Love took reps outside. Calen Burton beat him on a slant

-JC Hart made a great play to pick off a pass

-Jeremiah Cobb had a long TD run against the starting defense

-Jerrin Thompson had a pick in the endzone

-Malik Blocton is getting reps with the ones next to Jayson Jones
