Under Armour Nashville: Top Defensive Line Recruits Shine

A talented group of performers participated at the Under Armour camp

Each Under Armour camp provides a close look at talented prospects from across the nation and today’s Nashville edition is not an exception. Here are some thoughts on a few of the talented defensive linemen, including the War Daddy award winner from today, and this is where the evaluations begin.

Do note, this is not close to a full list of top players.

Stephon Shivers, NG, Humboldt (Tenn.) High School - Georgia Commitment

Look out!

At 6-foot-3 and 367 pounds, Shivers is one of the most powerful players in the entire 2025 recruiting class. During consecutive pass rushes, he ran over a 300-plus-pound offensive lineman. Brutal and unadulterated power.

Shivers is also an athlete. Watching him run the 40-yard dash catches one’s eye. He’s athletic in space. The upside for this future Bulldog is high. Kirby Smart has his future nose guard.

CJ May, Edge, Highland Home (Ala.) High School

May fits the mold of the long and lean edge rusher and could also play outside linebacker at the college level. May won some one-on-one reps and lost some as well. He’s learning and will continue to get better. There’s something more important to note as well.

May’s ability to explode off the snap of the football is innate and will aid him for the rest of his career. Whichever college earns his college signature is gaining an intriguing prospect. Louisville, Auburn, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and others are in pursuit.

Kevin Oatis, Jr., DT, Hattiesburg (Miss.) High School

I’ve been a big fan of Oatis for quite some time. He is an old-school interior defensive lineman who gets after it on each rep. Love the attitude! Despite being 6-foot-2 and 285, Oatis is still quick and makes his presence known during pass-rushing situations.

He uses a few different power moves to rush the quarterback and still has plenty of time to get add to his repertoire. Numerous SEC schools like Arkansas, Texas A&M, LSU, Mississippi State, and others are recruiting Oatis hard.

Triston Abram, Edge, St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College

Somewhat unheralded as a recruit despite being from a talent-rich city and prep program, Abram looks the part and plays the part. Good power for a player around 225 pounds and he’s gotta be 6-foot-3 or better.

Had some good moves during one-on-ones and he’s definitely a player with plenty of upside. Do not be surprised if he adds more Power 4 offers in the near future.
