Baylor Bears RB Richard Reese Signs NIL Deal With Reese's

True freshman will receive Reese's memorabilia, including a mini fridge for his locker.

Baylor Bears running back Richard Reese has gone out and earned the starting running back spot as a true freshman this season. Now he is reaping the sweet, savory, delicious rewards of that labor.

Today, he signed a NIL deal with, of course, Reese's.

The candy empire actually signed on all the Division I football players with the surname Reese. Richard Reese is one of 12 such athletes who will be adorned in an abundance of Reese's swag for their services. Those services being named Reese and playing major college football.

Anyway, each player will receive an exclusive gold chain and pendant only distributed to their brand ambassadors, a pair of "cup links" or cuff links in the shape of Reese's cups, a custom orange "Team Reese" blazer to wear for the team travel and, of course, a mini-fridge designed to fit in a player's locker and keep all their Reese's peanut butter cups at the perfect temperature.

Although a little comical and also apt for his name, Reese has earned himself some notoriety through the first five games of his freshman season. Not only has he snatched the starting running back job from more experienced players like Taye McWilliams and Qualan Jones, but he has added his own flare to the tune of 400 yards rushing, seven touchdowns, and nearly six yards a carry.

It remains to be seen whether or not Reese will wear the custom blazer when the Bears travel to play their burnt orange rivals, the Texas Longhorns on November 25.
