CHESTNUT HILL, Mass.— Boston College football is wrapping up its fourth week of spring practice.

The Eagles took the field inside Fish Field House on Wednesday morning for its 11th spring practice where the team warmed up, held position drills, and played some scrimmage periods.

So far this spring, one of the position groups that has impressed has been the tight ends, however one core player has been missing in recent days.

Sophomore tight end Kaelan Chudzinski has been absent from the last few practices after having a strong start to spring camp.

After practice, Boston College head coach Bill O’Brien provided an update on Chudzinski.

“Kaelan’s working through some stuff right now,” said O’Brien. “Not gonna get into details about that. We’ll see how that goes throughout the summer. But I think those other guys have stepped up. Danny Edgehille had a good day today. Brady Clough. [Cameron] Kossmann, he’s done some really good things.

“Obviously Zeke Moore, sometimes we don’t count him as a tight end cause he’s more of a fullback type, but he’s one of the leaders of this football team,” said O’Brien. “He’s been great this spring in all roles that we’ve asked him to do. DJ Johnson has come along and done some good things. He’s gotten a lot better. So I’m very, very happy about that whole group and Kaelan, like I said, [is] working through some things, but hopefully he’ll be back at some point.”

During Boston College’s 2-10 campaign in 2025, Chudzinski saw time in all 12 of the Eagles’ games and caught 24 receptions for 313 yards and four touchdowns.

He tallied the fifth-most receptions, fourth-most yards,  and second-most touchdowns among the team last year and was the second-best tight end in the room just behind Jeremiah Franklin.

Boston College’s tight end room consists of returners Dominic DeSarno, Zeke Moore, Brady Clough, Kaelan Chudzinski, Danny Edgehille, and DJ Johnson as well as Florida transfer Cameron Kossmann who joined the Eagles via the transfer portal this offseason.

The Eagles did not pick up a tight end in the class of 2026 so no new players will be joining the room in the summer.

Boston College will take four days off for Easter break and return to Fish Field House for the final week of spring camp early next week. The final day of spring practice will be Saturday, April 11.
