KenPom Predicts BYU Basketball vs Bellarmine

On Friday night, BYU basketball hosts Bellarmine. The Cougars, who are coming off another dominant win over Georgia State, are looking to remain undefeated at home. Bellarmine is 4-9 this season with wins over Bowling Green and Midway.
KenPom, the industry leader in college basketball analytics, predicted BYU-Bellarmine. KenPom gives BYU a 99% chance to win with a projected final score of 83-58.
As of this writing, BYU is ranked 5th in KenPom while Bellarmine is ranked 261st.

Freshman Marcus Adams is Eligible
Last week, after losing a lawsuit in Ohio, the NCAA announced that two-time transfers are eligible to play this season. That means BYU true freshman Marcus Adams will be eligible to play this season. Adams signed with Kansas before transferring to Gonzaga this Summer. Before enrolling at Gonzaga, Adams re-entered the transfer portal and committed to BYU. Adams was a top 50 recruit in the 2023 class. He will be one of the most talented players on the roster.
Fousseyni Traore Injury
BYU star big man Fousseyni Traore left the game against NC State with an injury. Traore will not play against Denver. BYU head coach Mark Pope was asked about Traore's injury status a few weeks ago, Pope said Traore was "day-to-day".
BYU in the Polls
BYU basketball climbed as high as no. 14 in the AP poll before the loss to Utah. The Cougars remained in the top 20 after a narrow loss on the road. BYU is currently ranked no. 17 in the AP poll. BYU is one of six Big 12 team in the top 20. Kansas (2), Houston (3), Oklahoma (7), Baylor (10), and Texas (19) are the other teams in the Top 20.
