On Saturday, BYU travels to Stillwater, Oklahoma to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Cougars have a lot to play for - they are just one win away from reaching bowl eligibility. BYU has been one win away from bowl eligibility for the last month. The Cougars are eager to win one more game and play in a bowl game for the first time as a Big 12 school. They also have a chance to play spoiler.

On the opposite sideline, the Cowboys are playing for a spot in the Big 12 championship game. With a win over BYU, Oklahoma State would play in the Big 12 championship if Texas beats Texas Tech. In that scenario, there could be a three-way tie in second place between Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, and Kansas State. The Cowboys would get the spot in the title game thanks to their head-to-head wins over Oklahoma and Kansas State.

According to the oddsmakers, Texas is a heavy favorite to win on Saturday. As of this writing, Texas is a 12.5-point favorite over Texas Tech. FPI gives the Longhorns an 86% chance to beat the Red Raiders.

If the Longhorns lose to the Red Raiders, then there could potentially be a four-way tie between Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, and Kansas State at the top of the Big 12 standings. In that scenario, a spot in the title game is not guaranteed for Oklahoma State.

BYU can spoil Oklahoma State's Big 12 Championship bid with a win on Saturday.
