Chase Roberts' Touchdown Named Top Play on SportsCenter

With 8:07 left in the game, BYU and Arkansas were tied at 31 and BYU was in deep in Razorback territory. Kedon Slovis found Chase Roberts on a crossing route in the corner of the end zone for the potential go-ahead score. Slovis placed the ball high in the air where only Roberts could catch it. Roberts jumped in the air and secured the ball with one hand, tapping his toe on the green grass for the score.
Roberts' touchdown was the game-winning score - BYU held on to win 38-31. It wasn't only the best play of the game in a game, it was the best play in the country. After the game, Roberts' touchdown grab was named the top play of the day on Sports Center's Top 10 plays.

This throw was perfectly placed by Kedon Slovis. Had the ball not been thrown high in the air where only Roberts could catch it, it could have been intercepted. Roberts only used one hand, but the catch was never in doubt. Roberts never bobbled the ball even when he landed on the ground.
The backstory of this catch makes it even more impressive. Chase Roberts had a costly fumble late in the first half that allowed Arkansas to take the lead. Roberts bounced back from that mistake and made the play of the season so far.
With the win over Arkansas, BYU improved to 3-0 ahead of the Big 12 opener at Kansas.
