College GameDay Betting Analyst Picks BYU Over TCU

On Saturday morning, College GameDay betting analyst 'Stanford Steve' picked BYU over TCU as one of his four best bets of the day. "I look at BYU and TCU," Steve said. "TCU has a first-time starter at quarterback this week. Morris got hurt last week. BYU's got Kedon Slovis. There's only five guys in the sport that have more starts than him. I believe BYU goes on the road [and wins]."
College GameDay host Rece Davis responded, "Picking against TCU has been guaranteed Super Dog money. Like outright wins the last few weeks. Why are the oddsmakers still all over TCU? Why are they a five-point favorite?"
Stanford Steve replied, "I think [the oddsmakers] want to see BYU on the road. They went to Arkansas and got that win but Arkansas has stumbled. But I'm with you. I could see BYU winning that game and [BYU] should be favored."
As of this writing, TCU is favored by five points over BYU. The Cougars are 4-1 on the season and coming off a bye week. The Horned Frogs are 3-3 and coming off consecutive losses to West Virginia and Iowa State. Most notably, TCU will be without starting quarterback Chandler Morris against BYU. Morris left the game against Iowa State with a knee injury. TCU will start redshirt freshman Josh Hoover on Saturday - this will be Hoover's first career start.
The Cougars and the Horned Frogs kick off at 1:30 PM MT/2:30 PM CT on ESPN.
