Kickoff Time and Broadcast Plans Announced for BYU's Big 12 Opener at Kansas

The kickoff time for BYU's Big 12 opener has been set. On Monday, the Big 12 announced that BYU's road contest at Kansas will kickoff at 2:30 Central time and will be broadcast on ESPN.

The BYU-Kansas game was selected by ESPN over other conference matchups like Texas Tech-West Virginia. Tech-West Virginia will be broadcast at the same time on ESPN+.

BYU is 2-0 with wins over Sam Houston State and Southern Utah. The Cougars face their first true test of the season this Saturday at Arkansas. The Razorbacks beat the Cougars in Provo last year in a high-scoring 52-35 game. BYU is a 10.5-point underdog against Arkansas. The BYU offense will have to keep the Cougars in this game - Kansas is one of the best offenses in the country. This game could turn into a classic Big 12 shootout. This will be one of many tests for the new BYU defensive staff in conference play.

Kansas is 2-0 with a signature win over Illinois last weekend. The Jayhawks will likely be 3-0 heading into this game - they are favored against Nevada this weekend. The Jayhawks are led by Big 12 preseason offensive player of the year Jalon Daniels. Daniels threw for 277 yards and 2 touchdowns in the game against Illinois. The Kansas offense also features star running back Devin Neal. Neal is one of the best running backs in the Big 12. He has 214 rushing yards through two games this season.
