Pinging The Portal: UC Completes Visit With Temple Transfer Jamille Reynolds, Contacts Virginia Transfer Kadin Shedrick

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati is making a strong push to land Temple transfer center Jamille Reynolds (10.1 Pts, 5.4 Reb, 0.7 Ast in 2022-23).

Jake Weingarten reports the program completed an in-home visit with Reynolds as he gets courted by UC, Mississippi State, Kansas, and Arkansas.

The 6-foot-10 center would be a great bruising complement to Viktor Lakhin down low. Cincinnati didn't have to face many giants in the AAC, but the Big 12 has plenty of size, and the 6-foot-9, 230-pound force would be a nice salve for that in Year One.

Reynolds was 12th in the AAC in total blocks last season (24) and shot 60.2% from the field on seven shots per game.

He is currently On3's 133rd-best transfer available and has two years of eligibility left after transferring from UCF last offseason.

Cincinnati is also getting involved with Virginia transfer big man Kadin Shedrick (6.2 Pts, 3.8 Reb, 0.6 Ast). The 6-foot-11, 216-pound forward averaged 1.4 blocks during his fourth campaign at UVA last season.

Shedrick's minutes dropped from 728 in 2021-22 to 526 this past season as he has two years of eligibility left.

He posted 15 points, 13 rebounds, and 3 blocks in the team's NCAA Tournament loss to Furman.

3/31 UPDATE: Jake Weingartern reports that Shedrick has trimmed his team list to 18 schools, and Cincinnati is one of them, along with rival Xavier.
