CINCINNATI — NFL Films senior producer Greg Cosell recently revealed his top-five NFL Draft fits and former Cincinnati wide receiver Alec Pierce made the cut in Cosell's conversations with The 33rd Team. The Indianapolis Colts selected Pierce with the 53rd pick this past weekend.

“I really, really liked his tape a lot,” Cosell said in the interview, “He essentially played boundary X for them. He’s 6-foot-3. He’s a really good athlete. He ran really well. His other test scores and measurables were really good as well. He’s a stride-length guy. [And] there’s some physicality to him.”

Cosell thought the Colts filled a need with Pierce, which should offer him plenty of early opportunities in Frank Reich's offense.

“He’s with a team that needs receivers," Cosell said. "Because right now, if all goes well, they will have Michael Pittman, Parris Campbell who’s fought injury every year, and Pierce would be the third [guy]. I think he’s in a really good spot. With a team that needed receivers.”
