CINCINNATI — The University of Cincinnati is planning to enter the Big 12 for all sports starting with the football season in 2023.

According to Jon Rothstein, the AAC contingent of Houston, Cincinnati, and UCF are all currently moving forward with the idea that they will join the Big 12 for the 2023-24 academic year.

The negotiations are ongoing and expected to finish up next week. All three AAC schools must pay an eight-figure buyout fee to their former conference.
