Recruiting Roundup: Four-Star Athlete Places UC Among Top Schools, Bearcats Send Out Offer Flurry

The recruiting trail is piping hot as winter peaks.

CINCINNATI — Offers are flying all over the place amidst UC football's junior day weekend that just wrapped up in Clifton.

Kamron Mikell is loving what he's hearing from the staff. The four-star athlete placed UC in his top 14 schools.

According to 247Sports, Mikell is the 290th-ranked player nationally and the 35th-ranked athlete. ESPN has him ranked 130th nationally and 13th among athletes.

Mikell holds 18 offers from schools like Florida, Georgia, and Florida State.

The dynamic athlete is a rare quarterback/cornerback two-way player at Statesboro. The 6-foot-2, 189-pound player is a nice dual-threat talent that can throw on the run with sound footwork and poise. Mikell cuts and moves like a shifty wide receiver in the open field. The zone read acumen is high, and he isn't afraid to fight for extra yards.

His lefty throwing motion needs some tuning, but you can't teach the way he sees the field as a runner. The tape at cornerback is tough to evaluate from the little I could find, but he tackled and pursued well in various clips.

Moving to the offers, we start with 2024 four-star running back Dilin Jones out of Our Lady Good Counsel (Maryland).

According to 247Sports, Jones is the 126th-ranked recruit overall and the ninth-ranked running back. ESPN has him ranked 113th nationally and seventh among running backs.

He holds 12 offers from schools like Florida, and Michigan.

Jones is a bit slight at 6-foot, 175 pounds, but he is shot out of a cannon on each carry.

Let him get his left-to-right cut off in the second level, and it's night-night for the defense. Jones doesn't have a crazy package of moves, but he strikes the right fundamental notes each time and has the speed to punish.

Following Jones is four-star 2024 running back Dejuan Williams out of St. Francis Academy (Maryland).

According to 247Sports, Williams is the 299th-ranked player nationally and the 25th-ranked running back. ESPN has him ranked 232nd overall and 22nd among running backs.

He holds 15 offers from schools like Michigan, Duke, and Georgia Tech.

Williams is a dynamic weapon at 6-foot, 185 pounds. He played in a hybrid pistol offense that had him running from gun formations plenty last season. That set up perfectly for his north/south running style to create explosive plays.

He is also a decent receiver out of the backfield, showing nice timing feel on screens and no wasted space on dump-offs.

In the 2025 class, UC offered four-star cornerback Devin Williams out of Buford (Georgia).

According to 247Sports, Williams is the 98th-ranked player nationally and the eighth-best cornerback.

He holds 13 offers from schools like Florida and Auburn.

Williams profiles as a nickel cornerback at the next level currently sitting at 5-foot-10, 160 pounds. He is a willing tackler who already reads passers' eyes well and builds his ball skills off of that timing.

Sticking in the 2025 class, we have four-star safety Bo Jackson out of Villa Angela-St. Joseph (Ohio).

According to 247Sports, Jackson is the 80th-ranked player nationally and the sixth-ranked athlete.

He holds six offers from schools like Ohio State and Michigan State.

The 6-foot, 200-pound thumper operates well all over the coverage map. He can line up at either safety spot and along the boundary as a cornerback. His ball skills stand out the most, with multiple impressive interceptions and pass breakups.

Jackson is also a punishing offensive player at running back for VISJ.

Cincinnati re-offered 2026 local wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. after hosting him for a visit this past weekend.

UC offered him back in November, and they want to be in the mix for what will be one of the top wide receivers in the country when the 2026 rankings start surfacing.

According to WR Hitlist, Henry Jr. is the No. 1 2026 receiver they've evaluated among 200 prospects. He has game-breaking ability in the open field and a catch-point acumen just like his late father's. Already checking in at 6-foot-3, 170 pounds, Henry profiles as a top-tier outside receiver.

The offers continued with three-star 2024 wide receiver Terrance Moore out of Tampa Catholic (Florida).

According to 247Sports, Moore is the 389th-ranked player nationally and the 53rd-ranked receiver.

Moore owns a whopping 36 offers from schools like Alabama and Auburn.

At 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, Moore profiles as a true X receiver at the next level. He high points the ball very well on 50/50 chances and has the game-breaking speed needed for that big role.

We close with an offer to three-star wide receiver Channing Goodwin out of Providence Day School (North Carolina).

According to 247Sports, Goodwin is the 394th-ranked player nationally and the 54th-ranked wide receiver.

Goodwin figures to play in the slot at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds. He is a nice in-breaking route runner with a decent open-field spin move.
