Three-Star 2024 Safety Reggie Powers Places Cincinnati Among Top-Five Schools

CINCINNATI — UC football is in the top-five schools for three-star 2024 safety Reggie Powers out of Centerville (Ohio).

Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Michigan State, and Northwestern are the other finalists.

According to 247Sports, Powers is the 578th-ranked player nationally and the 55th-best safety. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound safety holds 29 offers.

He has been crystal balled to Ohio State, and On3 gives the Buckeyes a 93.3% chance of landing him.

Powers can lay down the big hits at the strong safety position.

His ability to read a ball carrier and angle him down the best way stands out the most. He also held up well in coverage. He mostly covered from the safety position but showed some tape on the outside that played out just fine.
