Here's what Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney had to offer after the brutal loss to Florida State.

Swinney started off in a very somber way, stating, "That honestly is as tough a loss as I have ever been a part of. You win one like that and it's top of the world but you lose one like that and you're sick to your stomach."

On Jonathan Weitz's missed field goal late in the 4th quarter, "We expect him to make it, he expects to make it. He made one earlier in the game that gave us an opportunity and made all of his extra points and did some good things for us so he wasn't perfect but I didn't see anybody perfect."

Another controversial moment was a screen called on 3rd and 1 in overtime and Swinney gave the explanation of what should have happened, "I mean we expect [Cade Klubnik] to hand the ball off right there. That's kind of situation awareness but that's where we can be better as coaches. Even though that's one of those things where it's like, yeah it's built in, but again just we can help him right there but just making that a lock call and not even having that as an option."

The toughest part about Saturday is having to move forward knowing they don't control their own destiny anymore. So how will the Tigers respond, "Just like you saw them respond tonight. They'll fight their tails off. You saw who we are tonight. If you can't see the heart of our team then you're just blind."

Lastly, for a coach who has dominated the conference for the last decade is he sensing a shift in the power dynamics around the ACC? "Oh man, it's just one day. It's hard to beat somebody eight times in a row. They won the day. They won the game. They won today. I mean, what does that mean? It means they may go on and win the ACC this year. I mean we're not entitled to win the ACC every year. We didn't win it in '21 and a lot of y'all said we were done and we came back and won it last year."
