Clemson is hunting for their second ACC win of the year as they welcome Wake Forest to Memorial Stadium on Saturday. The Tigers are celebrating Homecoming but the team is laser-focused on adding another check to the win column before a bye week.

Pregame: Nate Wiggins (knee) and Antonio Williams (ankle) are both fully dressed in warm-ups. We'll see how much action they get today as the Tigers have a bye week coming up that would give them more time to rest up.

First Quarter

  • Wake Forest receives.
  • Using their RPO game, Wake Forest moves into Clemson territory quickly.
  • Wake is called for an illegal forward pass, backing them up inside of their 45. The Tigers force a punt on the next play. 
  • Clemson goes three and out, and punts the ball away. Wake takes over at their 17.
  • Jeremiah Trotter Jr is flagged for illegal contact to the head. 15-yard penalty.
  • Andrew Mukuba returns a fumble for a touchdown but it appears that the back was down.
  • Call is overturned.
  • Pride Jr. comes up with a pass breakup on third down. Wake forced to punt.
  • Turnovers bite Clemson again as they fumble on a QB/RB exchange. Wake takes over inside of Clemson's 10.
  • Clemson's defense stands tall, forcing a turnover on downs.
  • Clemson goes three and out again. Wake Forest takes over on Clemson's 45.
  • Jalyn Phillips exits the game with an injury.
  • Wake Forest picks up a couple of first down, moving to Clemson's 11.
  • Ruke Orhorhoro sacks Griffis back at the 18 yardline. Wake Forest hits the field goal on 4th down. Wake Forest 3 - Clemson 0 - 1Q 2:25
  • Klubnik finds Tyler Brown for a first down.

Second Quarter

  • Phil Mafah picks up a first down. Clemson nearing midfield. 
  • Klubnik hits Collins and Briningstool for back-to-back first downs.
  • Clemson converts on fourth down as Klubnik hits Beaux Collins. Clemson inside of the 20

  • Clemson's defense forces a punt but a great punt pins the Tigers inside of their own five.
  • The Tigers go three and out.
  • Wake Forest fumbles near Clemson's 30, recovered by RJ Mickens.
  • The Tigers pick up a couple of quick first downs, moving inside Wake territory.
  • Tigers are forced to punt.
  • Clemson's defense holds. Forcing another punt.
  • Tyler Brown muffs a punt, recovered by Wake Forest.
  • Clemson's defense stands tall again. Field goal attempt upcoming.
  • The attempt is no good. Halftime.

Third Quarter

  • Five Will Shipley rushes move Clemson down to the Wake Forest five. 4th and 1 upcoming.
  • Shipley picks up the first down. First and goal for Clemson.
  • Clemson's drive stalls. Jonathan Weitz on to attempt the field goal.
  • Weitz hits the 25-yard field goal. Wake Forest 3 - Clemson 10 - 3Q 7:15
  • Wake picks up a couple of big first downs, moves into Clemson territory.
  • Jeremiah Trotter Jr. is called for a very questionable roughing the passer penalty, extending Wake's drive.

  • Phil Mafah busts a big run out to the 50.
  • Cade Klubnik uses his legs to pick up another first down.

Fourth Quarter

  • Jonathan Weitz misses a 51-yard field goal attempt.
  • Wake Forest flagged for holding on first down.
  • Clemson's defense forces another three and out.
  • The Tigers aren't able to take advantage, going three and out once again.
  • The defense gets another three and out, including a sack from Xavier Thomas. Wake punts.
  • Will Shipley picks up 11 yards on first down.
  • Klubnik finds Tyler Brown for a big pickup inside of Wake's 30.
  • Will Shipley takes a carry 20 yards. 1st and goal at the 1.

  • Wake Forest has used the passing game effectively, moving the ball inside of Clemson's 15.
  • TJ Parker comes up with a big sack on first down.
  • A facemask call gives Wake a fresh set of downs inside of Clemson's 10.
