2023 is set up to be a big year for the Clemson Tigers. Off the field, Clemson has been the hottest team in the country on the recruiting trail, snagging four top-100 recruits in the month of June, including five-stars Sammy Brown and Bryant Wesco.

On the field, the Tigers return a plethora of talent, especially on the defensive side of the ball. Clemson returns four out of five starting offensive linemen, with Jordan McFadden - now a LA Charger - the only departure. Phil Steele, one of college football's most respected pundits, recently released his All-ACC teams and Clemson is well-represented. The Tigers landed 17 players on the four teams.

Running back Will Shipley was the lone offensive player for the Tigers to make the First Team. Shipley is listed as both a First-Team running back and kick returner. Defensively, the Tigers had four players named to the First Team: defensive lineman Tyler Davis, linebackers Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and Barrett Carter, and safety Jalyn Phillips.

Notably absent from the list was Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik. Drake Maye, Jordan Travis, Riley Leonard, and Tyler Van Dyke were selected to the First, Second, Third, and Fourth team, respectively. Klubnik's lack of experience - just one start - likely had a lot to do with being snubbed, but he'll have his chance to prove himself this fall.  Defensive lineman Tyler Davis and linebacker Barrett Carter were also named First-Team All-Americans by Steele.
