Championship week is coming to a close and the third-seeded Colorado Buffaloes (24-9) have continued their winning streak to reach the Pac-12 Championship tonight. They’ll take on the tournament's fourth seed Oregon (22-11) in Las Vegas.

This will be the third meeting between these two teams this season and the Buffs managed to sweep the Ducks. A 86-70 win in January at CU Events Center and another victory nine days ago, 79-75, on the road.

Heading into tonight’s matchup both teams could have their postseason plans solidified, whether it means a trip to the NCAA Tournament or the NIT. Either way, Colorado looks to ride into Sunday knowing where they'll be going.

The Buffs and the Ducks notably have two of the Pac-12’s top scorers on the floor for tonight’s game. Junior guard KJ Simpson averages 19.5 points per game for CU. He has been the undeniable general, leading the charge for the Buffs. Senior guard Jermaine Cousinard averages 15.5 per point game for Oregon.

Simpson has continued his constituent scoring effort throughout the tournament with a combined 32 points. He sparked CU's 2nd half defensive effort against Washington State to help the Buffaloes advance.

When the Buffs took down the Ducks in Eugene, it levitated the squad into the third seed and they were granted an opening round bye to begin the tournament. From there, Colorado took care of Utah 72-58 and after a rough shooting night yesterday knocked out WSU 58-52 to advance to the title game.

The Ducks took a similar path to the championship by receiving a first-round bye. Last night, they secured a major upset win by defeating the top-seeded Arizona Wildcats.

Tonight’s match-up tips off at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas at 9PM ET on FOX
